Exclusive event in Belgrade at the Guarnerius Art Centre
Guarnerius Art Centre in Belgrade – Serbian Cultural Institution on National Importance, that is founded by the most famous ex-Yugoslavia violinist, Maestro Jovan Kolundžija, is the place where the first milonga (tango dance evening) was held in this part of Europe, back in 2003.
Since then, Guarnerius has become center of gathering of many tango dancers and tango music fans, and together with the Belgrade Tango Association, we are cherishing tango culture in our region, through various events – monthly milongas, workshops, festivals, tango classes…
TANGO NEUTRAL Festival will be held for the first time in Belgrade, and Guarnerius Centre will be the host of the real tango elite!
These three-day dance/music spectacle will present world-class tangueros to the audience – for the first time Belgrade will meet famous Argentinian tango dancers Maestro RICARDO VIQUEIRA and Maestra MIRTA TISEYRA, who will be holding three-day tango workshops.
Their arrival to Belgrade is even more exclusive, when knowing that this great tango dance couple, one of the best in the world, hadn’t been collaborating for the past seven years, but especially for the cause of our festival, they will once again unite their great energies on the Guarnerius dance floor.
Along with the distinguished Argentinian artists, TANGO NEUTRAL festival milongas will also gather famous tango DJs from Russia, Macedonia and Serbia.
Aside from these events for the tango dancers, for all tango music fans, festival will present a special tango concert – ENSEMBLE TANGUANGO (Serbia) is an exclusive all-ladies orchestra that was founded in 2013, and that has been promoting tango music and culture, with great success in Serbia and abroad.
Five academic musicians in the Tanguango ensemble, are famous for their wast repertoire that contains a unique mixture of tango traditional and tango nuevo, and this will be concept of the Guarnerius concert. Program will include pieces by great authors like Gardel, Canaro, Laurenz, Salgan, Bardi, Troilo, Plaza, Rodriguez and of course, Piazzolla.
The news about the TANGO NEUTRAL festival in Belgrade awoke great interest of the tangueros not only from Serbia, but from the hole region. Many visitors and participants of the workshops and milonga, will use this unique opportunity to meet and collaborate with the great names of the world tango dance scene.
